Wineries Take Action at the Tasting Room Profitability Conference
San Rafael, CA - January 18, 2007 -The 2007 Tasting Room Profitability
Conference at the Marin Center in San Rafael, January 17th and 18th proved to be a tremendous
success. Over 200 wineries from across the U.S. and Canada to participate in seminars &
exhibits which introduced new products for the tasting rooms as well as provided hands-on
demonstrations for Wine Club and POS solutions.
The wine industry is not exclusive to California. Denise Nelson, Chrisman Mill Vineyards
came in from Kentucky. She was impressed with the knowledge that was shared at the event
and the solutions on the market. We are just opening our tasting room and we need a strong
solution for our club. She reviewed all the options in the show and decided. "Active Club
Management is it!" stated Denise.
Both days provided us with a solid stream of people who were interested in improving their
businesses and growing their clubs. "We had a tremendous response from attendees" stated
Theresa Dorr, Active Club Management. The demonstrations never stopped. We integrate seamlessly
with QuickBooks, membership card capabilities and other solutions on the market and that
seemed to be a significant factor for the wineries.
There was a growing interest in Club Cards. CI Solutions reports that membership cards
are catching on in the wineries. The cards provide the details of each unique club member.
This allows the tasting room personnel to quickly verify the member's status with each club
and provide all the respective benefits. It also identifies customers who may have a card
but who are no longer active in a club. This makes sure that discounts are not being
given to people who are no longer active in the respective club. Sue Lyon,
CI Solutions said the response is growing. More and more wineries understand the benefits
and savings from the cards.(

First timer Grand Avenue Chocolates provided warm taste of their new wine sauces and creamy
wine truffles. Mike Williams, Grand Avenue Chocolates VP of Sales reported a significant
amount of interest and look forward dot working with many of the wineries that attended.
